L.E.X closes out Black History Month with a 'Big Bang.'

While our calendars claim Black History Month ends with the month of February, the celebration never stops. Our mere 28 days is nothing but the main party. Instead of being down about the inevitable end, L.E.X decided to make the after party transition a bit easier. At the tail end of BHM, he released his latest track, Big Bang.

If you haven't been paying any attention to this young King, welcome. Please make yourself comfortable. If you have been paying attention, then you've seen his effectual equation in the works:

Meaningful Message + Personalized Production + Signature Southern Swagger = 🔥

What we love about L.E.X's music? All of the above.

His subject matter is meaningful and real. In Wat U Doin', he speaks on living his truth rather than living above his means. On Love It, the message is crystal clear- Seize the day and choose to be optimistic. Big Bang is a motivational memo of sorts, reminding you that your wants and needs can be sources of motivation also.

With the content on lock, what doesn't go unnoticed is L.E.X's choice in production. His SoundCloud dates back to September of 2016, and it was apparent even back then. Whether it's a more upbeat track, or a chill one, the Mississippi native seems to be "picky" with his production in the best sense of the word. His selections seem tailored to his personality and aesthetic, creating his seamless sound. You usually hear jazz influences, a nod to his Southern roots. (And I can't seem to get enough of the soulful, horn-driven melody that serves as the frame for WavveGawd's bodied production on Big Bang.)

That leads us to the cherry on top of the whole operation; that signature Southern Swagger that L.E.X emits so effortlessly. Nothing he does is forced. He is naturally him and it shows.Don't know what I mean? Listen and get back to me.

So if you haven't been paying any attention to this young King, welcome. Please make yourself comfortable. You're going to be here for awhile. If you have been paying attention, then you already know the deal.

Either way, here is Big Bang, L.E.X's latest. Enjoy.

PS: We're ready for that album when you are, Lex!
