Doppler Radar: Ol'Davi

We heard through the grapevine that Ol'Davi was someone to look out for. Formerly known as Saga Breeze, the current Seattle resident hailing from his hometown of Memphis, Tennessee brings us his very well executed rendition of trip-hop at it's finest. An eclectic sound with heavy bass and lyrics that flow like Fiji water. I'm intrigued by the true fluidity of Davi's slow-riding Summertime feel; he's got this, Isaiah Rashad (Hurt Cobaine) meets Joey Fatts (Picture Me Rollin') combination lock that only he holds the key to.

The latest release, "Mort" signs Anvil & Lysol up for duty on production (which, can I say I'm equally impressed with this body of work for Davi?!) The perfect windows down anthem with those heavy drums we know and love. We're looking for more from Ol' Davi as we were given a hint of a possible album coming soon. Stay tuned.
